REASONING | NON VERBAL | CUBES AND DICE | EXERCISE 2

DIRECTIONS : Count the number of cubes in each of the following figures.
6. Count the number of Cubes in each of the following figures :
A.   68 B.   69
C.   70 D.   71
Ans : B. In figure, there are 11 columns containing 4 cubes each, 7 columns containing 3 cubes each and 2 columns containing 2 cubes each. Therefore Total number of cubes = (11×4) + ( 7×3) + (2 ×2) = 44 + 21 + 4 = 69.
7. Count the number of Cubes in each of the following figures :
A.   25 B.   27
C.   30 D.   35
Ans : C. In figure, there are 1 columns containing 3 cubes, 7 columns containing 2 cubes each and 13 columns containing 1 cubes each. Therefore Total number of cubes = (1×3) + ( 7×2) + (13 ×1) = 3 + 14 + 13 = 30.
8. Count the number of Cubes in each of the following figures :
A.   6 B.   8
C.   10

D.   12

9.
Ans : C.Clearly, there are 1 column containing 3 cubes, 2 columns containing 2 cubes each and each 3 columns containing 1 cube each. Hence, there are ( 1×3) + ( (2×2) + ( 3×1) = 3 + 4 + 3 = 10.

Count the number of Cubes in each of the following figures :
A.   144 B.  150
C.   158 D.   168
10.
Ans : D. In the figure, there are 48 columns containing 4 cubes each and 12 columns containing 2 cubes each. Total number of cubes = (48 ×3) + ( 12 ×2) = 144 + 24 = 168.

Count the number of blocks in the given figure :
A.   6                         B.   7
C.   8                         D.   9
Ans : B. There are 4 blocks in the lower layer close to the ground. Also, there are 3 blocks standing over the lower layer of blocks. Thus, there are 4 + 3 = 7 blocks in the given figure.
